Content filter does not work with DyKnow 5.x or CP

Problem:

When running any version of DyKnow 5.x or CP, you find that your content filter is no longer filtering properly, deactivates DyKnow 5.x Filter URLs feature, or may even cause a blue screen.

For example:

  • Eset
  • Websense (what do I whitelist)
  • SmartFilter
  • SonicWALL
  • PC Tools
  • 8e6
  • NetNanny/ContentWatch
  • Integard

Solution

In DyKnow 5.7 there is a filtering bypass list that allows you to prevent certain applications or services, such as your content filter or antivirus, from DyKnow Monitor's URL filtering. For instructions on adding your filter to this list, see this article.
