After saving a notebook locally to a client computer, users may receive the error "Unable to load specified file" when attempting to open the saved file. If the user saves the file to the DyKnow server and attempts to open it, the error is not received.
Users experiencing this error opening DyKnow files might also find they are unable to open files from other software vendors as well.
This error occurs when the Windows Script Host Runtime Library on the local client has become corrupt.
Download and run Microsoft Fix-It.
If solution 1 does not fix the issue, a repair or reinstall of Microsoft Windows may be required.
