Error: 900010015



Users attempting to connect using the DyKnow client receive the error code 900010015. Users attempting to connect using the DyKnow admin console receive a message similar to: A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No Process is on the other end of the pipe).

These message can appear if the SQL server service is not running due to a logon failure.



SQL logon failure can occur if SQL server service and SQL agent service are not set to run under Local System.

To resolve the issue:

1. Locate SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER), Right click > Properties.

2. Click the Log On tab and change Log on as to 'Local System Account'. Leave the 'Allow service to interact with desktop' unchecked.

3. Click Apply, then Ok.

4. Start the SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service.

Repeat the above steps for SQL Server Agent if needed.
