Internet Information Services (IIS) Installation Guide for Windows Server 2012 and 2008

Follow
  1. Click Add Roles in Server Manager.
  2. In Installation Type, select Role-based or feature-based installation then click Next.
  3. In Server Selection, choose the server you wish to install IIS on in the Server Pool list then click Next.
  4. In Server Roles, select Application Server in the Roles list.
  5. On the Add Roles and Features Wizard dialog, check Include management tools (if applicable) then click Add Features.
  6. In Server Roles, select Web Server then click Next.
  7. In Features, select .NET Framework 3.5 Features then click Next.
  8. In Application Server, click Next.
  9. In Role Services, select .NET Framework 4.5 then click Next.
  10. In Web Server Role (IIS), click Next.
  11. On the Add Roles and Features Wizard dialog, check Include management tools (if applicable) and then click Add Features.
  12. In Role Services, select .NET Extensibility 3.5, .NET Extensibility 4.5, ASP.NET 3.5, and ASP.NET 4.5 under Application Development then click Next.
  13. in Application Server, click Next.
  14. In Confirmation, click Install.
  15. Wait for the selected components to install.

Post-installation configuration for DyKnow:

  1. On the Start Screen, type "IIS" and select Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager from the results.
  2. The Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager will open. Click Application Pools in the Connections pane on the left.
  3. Click DefaultAppPool in the Application Pools list.
  4. Click Basic Settings in the Actions pane on the right.
  5. Change the .NET Framework version to .NET Framework v2.0.50727 then click OK.
  6. If you are unable to connect to the DyKnow server, select your IIS server in the Connections pane on the left and click Restart in the Actions pane on the right.
  1. Click Add Roles in Server Manager.
  2. Click Next in Add Roles Wizard.
  3. Select Application Server. When selected, a dialog box may open. If so, click Add Required Features, otherwise click Next and go to step 4.
  4. Select Web Server (IIS). When selected, a dialog box may open. If so, click Add Required Features, then go to step 5.
  5. Click Next, then go to step 6.
  6. In Add Roles Wizard > Application Server > Role Services dialog select .NET Framework 3.5.1 then click Next.
  7. In the Add Roles Wizard > Web Server (IIS) dialog, click Next.
  8. In the Add Roles Wizard > Web Server (IIS) > Role Services dialog, select ASP.NET under Application Development.
  9. When ASP.NET is selected, a dialog box will open. Click Add Required Role Services.
  10. When you see ASP.NET is selected in Role Services, click Next.
  11. In Add Roles Wizard > Confirm Installation Selections, click Install.
  12. In Add Roles Wizard > Installation Results, click Close.
