DyKnow Cloud Technical Specifications (Compatibility Information)

No installation needed. Teachers access DyKnow Cloud via a web portal in the following supported browsers:
  • Chrome
  • IE 10+
  • Safari 5+
  • Firefox
  • Opera 16

Teachers can allow/block URLs on the following supported student browsers:

  • Chrome on Windows, ChromeOS, OSX
  • IE 10+ on Windows
  • Firefox on Windows only
  • Safari 5+ on OSX
  • DyKnow app on iOS
  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 32/64bit
  • English/US Localization
  • Minimum 512 MB RAM (32bit) or 2 GB RAM (64bit)
  • Prerequisite: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 (part of Win 8+)
  • Prerequisite: Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Update 1 (both 32bit and 64bit MUST be installed on 64bit OS)
  • Once installed, our MSI will automatically update unless the school administrator changes this setting in DyKnow Cloud admin settings

  • OS: Chrome OS 34 or later (no prerelease versions)
  • English/US Localization
  • Once installed, our Chrome extension will automatically update or the school admin can manage through the Chromebook Management Console

  • Once installed, our PKG will automatically update

Device Management

All student devices must be school-managed, including BYOD environments.

Network Information and Recommended Speed

  • No local/district server; Amazon servers located in US
  • At least 4 Mbps up/down Internet for 500 concurrent connections
  • All product data communications are HTTPS / port 443
