Internet / email / cloud / network drives stop working (DyKnow Monitor 5.7)

Problem

You run DyKnow Monitor 5.7 and you notice that a 3rd party networked application or service like email, shared network drive, cloud storage agent, IM, or VPN stops working or seems to be blocked.

Solution

Upgrade to DyKnow Monitor v5.8 client and server. This moves the Filter URL feature out of the low level of Windows OS up to the browser level, so no more conflicts.

OR

If you must stay on the DyKnow Monitor v5.7 client, add the affected third party app to the DyKnow bypass list in the DyKnow Administration Console.  For the change to take affect, please remember to restart teacher and student devices.
