DyKnow Cloud: Student Understanding

DyKnow Cloud gives you the ability to ask students how well they're understanding your material. Students can also voluntarily report their understanding to you. 

  • Default view keeps students anonymous
  • Click each response to view student names

Underneath the title "Student Understanding" is the Request button. This will prompt students to set their understanding. Their responses appear as a pie chart under the heading "Requested Submissions"

Students can voluntarily report their understanding from their devices. Their responses appear as a pie chart under the heading "Voluntary Submissions."

Students can volunteer their understanding by:

  1. Find the notification area (usually in the bottom-left corner)
  2. A DyKnow icon should appear in the list
  3. If the DyKnow icon is not there, click on the carrot to see more notification symbols. These can be dragged and dropped into the tray for easy access.
  4. Clicking the icon will display the three Understanding options.
  5. If the icon does not appear, Monitor is either not installed or has encountered a problem. Contact support@dyknow.com

  1. In Chrome, look in the top right corner
  2. A DyKnow icon should be at the end of the URL bar

  1. On a Mac, look at the Menu bar (usually at the top of the page)
  2. A DyKnow icon should be in the Menu bar
  3. Clicking the icon will display the three Understanding options

  1. On an iPad, open up the DyKnow app
  2. A DyKnow icon will be in the top right corner, next to the URL bar
  3. Clicking this icon will display the three Understanding options
