IS DYKNOW INSTALLED?
In order for Dyknow Teachers to see student devices in their monitoring sessions, the device-specific Dyknow Cloud Connector must be installed on each student's device.
If a student's device does not connect to your monitoring session, please check for the Dyknow icon on the student's device; review the device-specific Dyknow icon locations below:
Student Chromebook Devices
Open a Chrome web browser window on the student's Chromebook device.
Locate the Dyknow icon in the upper right corner (to the right of the URL bar) of the Chrome browser.
Student Windows/PC Devices
Locate the Dyknow icon in the system tray (in the bottom right corner) of the student's Windows/PC device.
Click the arrow to reveal additional icons if the Dyknow icon does not immediately appear in the system tray.
Student Mac Devices
Locate the Dyknow icon in the menu bar (in the upper right corner) of the student's Mac device.
Locate the Dyknow iOS app on the student's iPad.
Ensure the Dyknow app is open and remains open during a monitoring session. In order for a Dyknow Teacher to monitor student iPads, the student must be using the Dyknow app, which is a secure web browser.
Note: To ensure the Dyknow app remains open during a monitoring session, enable iPad Kiosk Mode. For step-by-step instructions on enabling iPad Kiosk Mode, review our Enable iPad Kiosk / Guided Access article.
If you do NOT see the Dyknow icon on the student's device, the Dyknow Cloud Connector needs to be installed.
Please contact your school's Dyknow Administrator for assistance installing the device-specific Dyknow Cloud Connector onto a student's device.
